The smartphone is manufactured by Samsung and is further launched under the moniker of Samsung Galaxy A. This device is manufactured in Samsung’s home country of South Korea, with the majority of its components being made in Korea. The A01 is powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset. This chipset works with two cores, clocked at up to 1.8GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5GHz. This chipset supports all major CPU cores, the ARMv8 instruction set, VA-API and OpenGL ES 2.0. GPU support is to 64-bit Mali-T830 graphics with OpenGL ES3.1 support.
This Samsung A01 phone comes with Samsung Mobile Download Manager with a new downloads menu. So, there are two download managers that are built in to the phone: Samsung Mobile Download Manager and Google Play.
On this Samsung SM-A015F India and LATAM released in the year 2016, the device is an upgraded model in terms of the OS version and is supported with the Samsung Download Manager. Previously, the OS version of the device was of Android 8.0 (Oreo). After upgrading to Android 10, the Samsung A01 smartphone is upgraded to Oreo version.

At its launch, it was flagged as the flagship smartphone by Samsung with its bigger display size of 5.1 inches, an improved chipset and a glossy design. However, the handset was priced at a whopping Rs. 29,999 in India, leaving many disappointed. It came with a rather massive 3000 mAh battery and Wi-Fi only.
